The Pursuit of Love

1985

A series of elaborate works that explore nuances in a developing narrative theme in the archetypal “Pursuit of Love.” These images are composed with reference to classical compositions in art history and mythology and are rehearsed, staged, and photographed in the studio using large format 4x5 camera. This series was shown in a solo exhibition at the Leo Castelli Gallery in 1985.
